A/Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Gheethi, Chairman of the Arab Network for Emerging Environmental Pollutants (EPN), has been officially appointed as an Ambassador for the Arab Researchers Award for its 44th cycle (2026) by the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation.
The appointment, confirmed on 17 November 2025, recognizes Dr. Al-Gheethi’s scientific leadership, regional engagement, and extensive academic and professional network across the Arab world and internationally.
Role and responsibilities
As an Award Ambassador, Dr. Al-Gheethi will support the Foundation in promoting the 2026 award cycle, expanding outreach to Arab researchers, and enhancing awareness of the award’s objectives, criteria, and thematic focus areas. The role also involves leveraging academic and professional networks to encourage high-quality nominations and participation.
The Foundation indicated that preliminary award themes for 2026 will be announced before the end of the current year, allowing prospective applicants adequate time to prepare required documentation.
