EPN Chairman Participates in the 43rd Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation Awards Ceremony

At the kind invitation of the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation, Adel Al-Gheethi, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Arab Network for Emerging Environmental Pollutants (EPN), participated in the 43rd edition of the Foundation’s Awards Ceremony for Arab Researchers. The prestigious event honored a distinguished group of scientists from across the Arab world and the international scientific community for their outstanding contributions to research and innovation.

Among the most notable awardees was Omar Yaghi, who received recognition in the field of innovative waste recycling, in appreciation of his pioneering contributions to environmental science and sustainable chemistry. Professor Yaghi’s work has had a transformative impact on materials science and sustainability, advancing solutions for circular economy and environmental protection.

A week of scientific exchange and collaboration

Dr. Al-Gheethi’s participation formed part of a week-long program of high-level scientific meetings and activities, held from 12 to 17 October, which brought together leading Arab scientists and researchers affiliated with prominent universities and research institutions worldwide.

The program provided a platform for knowledge exchange, strategic dialogue, and academic networking, fostering discussions on emerging research priorities and opportunities for cross-institutional collaboration. Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab scientific cooperation and building sustainable partnerships that connect regional expertise with global research agendas.
