A pioneer in the field of materials science and technology in Qatar, Dr. Noora holds a Ph.D. in Corrosion from Imperial College London, which ranks sixth globally according to the QS ranking. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Biomedical Sciences from Qatar University in 2008, and a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Sheffield in 2015. She currently serves as the Director of Research Projects and Assistant Professor at the Advanced Materials Center at Qatar University, in addition to her role as Head of the Student Training and Mentorship Department at QUYSC. Her research focuses on sustainability, electrochemistry, corrosion, and STEM education, with a particular emphasis on bridging fundamental corrosion studies with practical engineering solutions. She leads several research projects funded by the Qatar National Research Fund (NPRP) worth $1.9 million, has filed a patent, and published more than ten academic papers in prestigious journals. Additionally, Dr. Noora is actively involved in scientific organizations and participates in training workshops on strategic management and education.
