Dr. Adel holds both a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Environmental Technologies from the Malaysian University of Science, a leading institution ranked among the top 146 universities according to the QS World University Rankings. He has extensive experience in environmental consulting and the management of emerging pollutants, making him a prominent expert in the field in Libya. Dr. Adel has held several prestigious academic and research positions, including serving as an Associate Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering at Sabratha University. He has supervised numerous Master’s students and published research in scientific journals focused on emerging environmental pollutants and their scientific solutions. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Adel is an active member of the Libyan-American Chemical Security Association. He has managed innovative projects for the remediation of contaminated sites, utilizing natural treatment technologies, such as using trees to mitigate pollution, and transforming landfills into green spaces through sustainable environmental solutions. He has also contributed to numerous pioneering projects aimed at assessing the environmental impact of polluted areas.
The Arab Network for Addressing Emerging Environmental Pollutants (EPN) is a pioneering initiative aimed at addressing the environmental challenges related to emerging pollutants in the Arab region through enhancing regional and international cooperation and providing sustainable solutions.
