The Strategic Partnerships and Innovation Officer at the Collaborative Research Centre for Contamination Assessment and Remediation of the Environment (crcCARE) in Australia, he is an Associate Professor in Environmental Technologies. A graduate of the USM, Malaysia, ranked #146 globally by QS. He is among the top 2% of highly cited researchers, according to the Stanford classification with extensive experience in research, environmental technologies, and emerging pollutants management. He previously served as an Associate Professor and Principal Researcher at MPRC and Faculty of Environmental Engineering, UTHM Malaysia, and as a visiting researcher at the University of Exeter (UK) and the Global Centre for Environmental Remediation (GCER) at the University of Newcastle (Australia). With over 100 research papers published in Q1 journals, he is a recognized expert in emerging pollutants. His innovations have earned him numerous gold medals at international exhibitions. He has filed for a patent (PT221) for developing a method to synthesize metal oxide nanoparticles and has a registered product, 2022 C60, related to antibiotic degradation using nanostructured zinc oxide particles. He serves as a Co-Editor for Water Practice and Technology (IWA). He holds professional accreditations as C.Eng and Eur.Ing (2023) from the IET-UK and P.Tech (2020) from MBOT. He has also served as an Ambassador for the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) 2020-2022. In consultancy, he has worked as an environmental advisor for multiple companies focused on managing emerging pollutants, offering expert guidance in pollution assessment, remediation strategies, and sustainable practices. His consultancy experience extends to advising industries on the implementation of advanced environmental technologies, particularly in the field of nanotechnology and pollution remediation. His insights have helped organizations adopt innovative solutions for addressing environmental contaminants and enhancing sustainability practices.
