The Arab Network for Emerging Environmental Pollutants (EPN) released its first official newsletter (Volume 1, Issue 0) in April 2025, marking the formal communication launch of the network following its establishment under high-level patronage in Sharjah.
The inaugural issue introduced EPN’s vision, mission, and strategic roadmap, positioning the network as the first Arab professional platform dedicated to addressing emerging environmental pollutants under the One Health framework. The newsletter outlined EPN’s objectives in strengthening regional scientific capacity, fostering cross-border collaboration, and supporting evidence-based environmental and public health policies.
The release also highlighted founding partnerships, governance structures, and priority focus areas, including PFAS, microplastics, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products, setting the foundation for future scientific and policy engagement across the Arab region.
