In the Name of ALLAH, The Gracious, The Merciful  It is my honour and privilege to be part of such great and sublime humanitarian “Hope for Future Initiative“. This Initiative has come into existence from the loins of the Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) to instill new hope for a bright future for our students who have passed the high school level and are now struggling to break through the unlit routes of the Arab countries that are currently facing challenges of crises, wars, conflicts and disasters. Those challenges are preventing our students from their inalienable right to a knowledge-illuminated life. The “Hope for Future Initiative”, though, has emerged as a beacon that sheds light for our children on the avenue of knowledge, and provides them with an opportunity to continue their university education; as an arm and shield to safeguard their homelands, stand against the darkness of ignorance and diseases, and rebuild their beloved countries in particular, and the cherished Arab world in general.

It is against this account, I call upon each and every generous donor —an individual, a legal entity, or a human rights organisation— to extend a helping hand by providing financial and in-kind support to the “Hope for Future Initiative” to continue its mission. I also appeal to public and private universities in the Arab world to offer, in accordance with their own rules and regulations, full and/or reduced-tuition scholarships to these students.

Without doubt, your financial support is as important as food and medicine. Supporting education is even more important. It will revive countries and peoples that are ravaged by wars and conflicts.

I extend my sincere thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Sharjah. Thanks to him, the mother Arab Science and Technology Foundation was established in 2000. Furthermore, under his personal patronage, the “Hope for Future Initiative” is sponsored; due to his strong belief in the importance of education, science and knowledge to the Arab peoples, and that they are the only approach for nations to achieve progress and advancement.

My sincere praise and appreciation are also to the League of Arab States that has been providing tremendous support to the “Hope for Future Initiative” since its launch in December 2024. It has saved no effort in encouraging the Arab world to provide the Initiative with resources that assist our students who are deprived of the right to higher education.

I highly commend all the universities that have partnered with the “Hope for Future Initiative” and provided full and/or reduced-tuition scholarships.

Great thanks are extended to His Excellency Dr. Abdalla Alnajjar, President of the Arab Science and Technology Foundation, who pays due attention and provides personal support to the “Hope for Future Initiative” and its students.

All thanks and appreciation are also due to His Excellency Professor Ahmed Obeid Hassan, the outgoing Secretary-General of the “Hope for Future Initiative”, who played a significant role in its birth, for all the efforts he exerted and the ongoing support he has been providing for its success.

In the name of our youth who seek help to complete their university education, I invite you to join us to shape together NEW HOPE for our students who are affected by wars, conflicts and disasters.

  Let’s work hand-in-hand and guide our children towards creating a better future for themselves and for their homelands.
