Professor of Microbiology and Head of the Department of Plant and Microbiology at Benha University, Egypt, and a member of the permanent committee for the promotion of professors and assistant professors. He has supervised over 100 Master\u2019s and Doctoral theses, many focused on the biological treatment of emerging environmental pollutants. He has also evaluated theses at universities in Egypt and other Arab countries. With more than 90 research papers published, some in top Q1 international journals, his work primarily focuses on emerging environmental pollutants. He has actively participated in seminars, workshops, and training on the eco-friendly treatment of these pollutants. Additionally, he served as a judge for the “Best Green Faculty” competition at the university level. He has led research projects funded by the university and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, addressing pollutants from industrial activities. His environmental consultations have helped companies and factories resolve pollution issues. Prof. \u00a0Abdel-Monem has also led numerous environmental monitoring campaigns in various regions and developed research plans to treat pollutants sustainably, benefiting the community.
