She has extensive experience in environmental technology, wastewater treatment, hazardous waste management, bioenergy, and bioremediation. She has held several prestigious administrative positions at USM, including Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology (2019-2021), Deputy Dean of Research and Development (2014-2018), and Head of the Environmental Technology Department (2012-2014). She has led many environmental consulting projects, collaborating with industries, government agencies, and international organizations to develop sustainable environmental solutions. Her consulting work included wastewater treatment, pollution control strategies, and sustainable waste management for industrial and urban sectors. She has also contributed to policy development, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and feasibility studies, helping companies achieve regulatory compliance and enhance sustainable environmental practices. Prof. Norli actively participates in research projects driven by industrial needs, securing funding from national and international institutions to support the development of green technologies. Her research includes biotransformations, landfill leachate treatment, and advanced water purification technologies. As a prominent specialist, Prof. Norli has published numerous research articles in prestigious scientific journals, serves as a peer reviewer for several journals, and presents her research at international conferences.
