The 7th Arab Technology business plan competition was held in 2011, it was announced in 17th May 2011. About 241 participants joined the competition representing 12 Arab Countries, they are: Egypt (35 business plans), Palestine (7 business plans), Lebanon (5 business plans), Jordon (4 business plans), Bahrain (3 business plans), Syria (3 business plans), Yemen (3 business plans), Saudi Arabia (2 business plans), Tunisia (2 business plans), Iraq (one business plan), Morocco (one business plan), Qatar (one business plan), besides Arab participants from foreign countries, like: France (one business plan), Italy (one business plan), USA (one business plan).

The 5th Arab technology Business plan Competition took place in 2009, the business plan competition was announced through different media channels like: the local partners in the Arab countries, ASTF data base, ASTF Cairo office Data Base, all Arab Universities and organizations, and through Arab and Egyptian newspapers and Egyptian T.V programs.
The 5th Version of Arab technology business plan competition received much more success than the 4th version, as the no. of the applicants to the business plan competition increased and became 79 applicants presented 14 Countries: Egypt (37 projects), Palestine (12 projects), Syria (9projects), Jordon (6projects), Iraq (3 projects), Yemen (3 projects), UAE(2 projects), Kuwait (1project), Libya (1 project), morocco (1project), Saudi(1project), Also there were 3 arab applicants from foreign countries like: Malaysia, Spain and Canada.

Arab Technology Business Plan Competition Training programs:
In light of ASTF Cairo office’s responsibility in managing Arab technology business plan competition, ASTF Cairo office organized training program for 25 applicants from Egypt and it held in the Egyptian federation building for 3 days, also ASTF Cairo office cooperated with UNIDO- Bahrain Entrepreneurship and technology promotion Office (ITPO) to conduct the Entrepreneurship and enterprise training workshop at (16-20 August 2009) in Bahrain for the Technology Business Plan Competition participants who wanted to attend this training program.

5th Arab technology business plan competition’s Participant list:

• The first business plan name was “Aqarmap”, it was submitted from Yemen and it was a startup idea for Online Real Estate market.
• “Telephone Line Power lamp” it was the second participant in the 5th Arab business plan competition, and aimed to Solving Problem of Electricity cut-off, the project was submitted from Palestine.
• The business plan “EDOM” was submitted from Jordan to enhance the Green Technology Solutions field.
• “Human Heater” another business plan submitted from Jordan and it presented new product for human warming.
• A start up business plan idea was submitted from United Arab Emirates for new medicine for cancer, the business plan named by “Therapeutic Vaccines”.
• “Novel Med” was Egyptian business plan for Innovative Medical device.
• In a way for assisting the disabled people to control computer systems, a business plan was submitted from Palestine, it called “Eye Controlled Typing”.
• “Collapse Analysis” was Egyptian business plan submitted for New Computer Application for Collapse Analysis.
• “Wi-phone” business plan was submitted from Egyptian team which presented Telephone line and WIFI Adapter.
• “Blue Soft/Blue Phone” was business plan name for Egyptian team; this startup idea was about avoiding railways accidents.
• “HFF” business plan submitted from Egypt, and it was about Hydrogen Fuel Device.

The judging panel in 5th Arab Technology Business plan Competition Finals:
The final round in the Arab technology business plan competition organized in Marriot Hotel on 21th of October in Cairo, Egypt.

The Judging Panel was:

The 6th version of Arab technology business plan competition took place in 2010, the announcement of the 6thTBPC started on 16 July 2010, about 15 countries participated in the 6th Arab business plan competition and about 155 business plan was submitted, as following: Egypt (53 business plans), Palestine (25 business plans), Syria (7 business plans), Ksa (7 business plans), Iraq (5business plans), Yemen (4 business plans), Canada (business plans), Jordon (2 business plans), Lebanon (2 business plans), United Arab Emirates (2business plans), Algeria (1 business plan), Bahrain (1 business plan), Libya (1 business plan), Also there are 2 business plans submitted for foreign countries (India & Switzerland).

The Finals:
9 business plans reached the final stage; these business plans represented 6 Arab countries: Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Palestine. 

The winners in the 6th Arab Technology business plan Competition:
1st place: went to Saudi project for generating electricity from solar energy.
2nd place: went to Emirates project converting the solid waste to electrical energy and hot water.
3rd place: went to Egyptian project which is a social chat software more flexible during work and study.

The final ceremony was held at Bahrain in cooperation with UNIDO and under the patronage of the Kuwait finance house at Bahrain, the winners went to the UC Berkeley competition (Nov.2010).

The 4th Arab technology Business plan Competition was held in 2008, The Business competition received business plans from the local partners and the competition winners.
The competition was promoted through different media means and about 62 business plans was submitted to present 12 Arab Countries as the following: Egypt (38 projects), Jordon (7 projects), Morocco (5 projects), Lebanon (5 projects), Syria (3 projects), Palestine (2 projects), Sudan (1 project), United Arab emirates (1 project).

The technological Projects in 4th Arab technology business plan competition covered the following fields:

• Medical and Health care
• E-commerce

4th Arab Technology Business plan Competition Time plan was:

1st Round:

Arab technology business plan Competition’s Training program (2nd round):
Due to ASTF Cairo office’s responsibility to manage the “Arab Technology Business Plan Competition, ASTF Cairo office cooperated with UNIDO- Bahrain Entrepreneurship and technology promotion office (ITPO) to conduct the Entrepreneurship and enterprise training workshop for 4 days in Bahrain for the Technology Business Plan Competition participants.
Bahrain training program was one of the successful and professional training programs in the Arab Region as it was a part of very successful model called "The Bahrain- Arab Model” that aimed to develop the capacities of potential entrepreneurs in order to boost their capabilities and assist them in developing their own private businesses.

The Goals of the Bahrain Training program was:
• Giving assessment training for entrepreneurs needed skills and capabilities and how to improve personal capabilities.
• Providing training about business planning and venture creation.
• Providing the participant after the training and/ or within the training "One on one business coaching and advising" where the expert can directly provide comments and advises for the entrepreneurs on his/her business plan.
• Providing matching services for funding specially with the Bahrain Development Bank, which provides some funding mechanisms majorly based on joint venturing also providing business advisory and consultancy services to the entrepreneurs.
