Collaborative Research Overview

The Arab Science and Technology Foundation (ASTF) strongly support the experience wide spreading, through the coordination among the exerts efforts in the field of collaborative research, that is executed in the different researches centers all over the Arab world, to achieve simple solutions for the common problems that face many Arab countries in the field of science and technology, these solutions should characterized by high quality and low in cost.

The collaborative research in water and energy field considered as form ASTF’s Top interest, as these kinds of researches activated through:

First: Putting developing plan for water purification and Desalination field in the Arab world, So ASTF organized till now two forums to discuss the way that help in achieving this goal, (The two forums was in May 2004 in Marrakech, Morocco, and the other forum was in May 2005 in Al-Sharjah, UAE).

Second: The Water desalination through the solar energy project, as agreement was signed with the international organization for research and development in Libya to execute collaborative Arab water desalination Project through using the solar energy.
