50 teams from 16 Arab countries sent their business plans to participate in 8th Arab Technology business plan competition

After revising all the submitted business plans in the 8th Arab Technology Business plan competition that the registration closed in 5th June 2012.

Only 50 teams that fit all competition’s conditions were chose to go to the competition’s next stage, as each team includes from 3 – 5 entrepreneurs from totally 143 projects submitted requests to join the competition, but some projects failed to fit all the competition’s conditions which lead to their exit from the competition. The submitted projects presented 16 Arab nationalities, they are: Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, Yemen, Israel (some Palestinian citizen), Jordon, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Ukraine, and USA.

The participated projects cover some of technology fields, like: Information Technology (32 projects), Communication (2 projects), Bio-Technology (3 projects), Electronics and semi-conductor (5 projects), Medicine and pharmaceutical (2 projects), Energy (one project), water and desalination (one project), and planning (one project).
